2 reviews of Watsons Bay Baths "This harbour-side swimming baths used to be a hotbed of splinters and rusty nails, but following a 2010 renovation, it's now home to a couple of floating pontoons and a boardwalk. The swimming area is now Olympic pool-sized, and there is an improved seating area.

Watsons Bay itself is also worth exploring, as it's a family-friendly weekend destination, with various cafes, restaurants, beaches, and picnic spots.

The baths consist of two floating turning board/sunbathing pontoons, a boardwalk and seating with great views of Sydney Harbour. The baths have Australia's first deep water wheelchair access to a tidal harbour pool.

David Whitley 14/04/2022 Attractions The Watsons Bay Baths in Sydney are a poor imitation of NSW's stunning ocean pools. Walk to Camp Cove or Parsley Bay for a swim instead. Taking the Watsons Bay ferry from Circular Quay is one of the most idyllic ways to spend a sunny day in Sydney.

What a nice spot, Watsons Bay Baths.

But there is much more to Watson's Bay. More places to eat, and more places that are well worth taking a walk to. You can swim at the free Watsons Bay Baths alongside the wharf, one of the few 19th century harbour pools that we still have, and recently refurbished. And there is a nice village feel to the place.
