One of the best free things to do in Jerez de la Frontera is to visit the Iglesia de San Miguel. We arrived as a mass was taking place, but were allowed in to stand at the back and observe the ceremony.. Right in the centre of the plaza stands a statue dedicated to Miguel Primo de Rivera who was born in Jerez and became the dictator of Spain.
