Wahai Rasulullah, janganlah perbuatan orang-orang kafir yang tingkat kekufurannya selalu berpidah- pindah dan segera menampakkan kekufuran itu membuatmu sedih dan gelisah. Di antara mereka ada orang-orang yang selalu menipu dan mengatakan, "Kami beriman," padahal hati mereka tidak mengikuti kebenaran.

Diharamkan bagimu (memakan) bangkai, darah, daging babi, dan (daging) hewan yang disembelih bukan atas (nama) Allah, yang tercekik, yang dipukul, yang jatuh, yang ditanduk, dan yang diterkam binatang buas, kecuali yang sempat kamu sembelih. Dan (diharamkan pula) yang disembelih untuk berhala.
